ASYLUM

Victim of Harm

Application for Asylum

PLEASE NOTE: The following is provided for general information purposes only, and may NOT be construed as legal advice.

If you are afraid that you may be harmed or persecuted if you return to your home country, then you may apply for asylum within the United States. Through your asylum application, you seek to establish that you are unable or unwilling to return to your home country because you have a well-founded fear of persecution on account of race, nationality, religion, political opinion, or particular social group.

You may include in your asylum application, your spouse and your minor children as derivative asylum applicants. You may also receive employment authorization in the U.S. 180 days after the filing of your asylum application.

If your application for asylum is approved, then one year after your grant of asylee status, you may be eligible to apply for permanent residence.

Please contact the Law Office of Steve Bae, so that we may provide you a personalized and detailed representation in your application for asylum.
